2. Injection Points Vapor discharge lines at the top of atmospheric tower and primary distillation tower, or other systems requiring corrosion protection. If inconsistent with reserved injection points in design, the actual positions shall prevail. 3. Injection Method Add the neutralizing corrosion inhibitor into the chemical dosing tank, dilute with softened water to the required concentration, then inject the solution to the top of fractionating tower or designated positions via metering pumps. 4. Injection Concentration Dilute the product with softened water. Based on crude oil properties and atmospheric-vacuum distillation operating requirements, the dosing process is divided into two stages: pre-filming stage and normal dosing stage. The dosage is 80–120 ppm for pre-filming, and 20–60 ppm for normal operation. 5. Monitoring Items Collect condensed water from three tower tops daily for water quality analysis during the test. Test the content of ferrous ions (Fe2+), chloride ions (Cl−), hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and pH value. The concentration of ferrous ions, which directly reflects the agent performance, shall be determined in accordance with the international standard Chemical products for industrial use — Determination of iron content — 1,10-Phenanthroline spectrophotometric method. |
